Editorial: Rebel Rabbit

Hello! First of all I hope you're having a fabulous Easter filled with chocolate and bunnys and everything Easter. I don't celebrate myself but I thought I would join in with all the festivities this week. I'll be heading to the Easter show tomorrow for the first time in like 8 years so that is super exciting. In saying that, here's a somewhat easter-y editorial for you. This one is called Rebel Rabbit from Fiasco Magazine.

Blog Network: Bags

Hola! First up this post marks 101 posts for me, how exciting! In saying that, I'm starting something new with some gorgeous girlies, it's kind of a blogging network where we'll have a weekly Topic and will post something to do with it! Today's post is going to be to post about some kind of collection we have going (shoes, bags, whateverrrr). You can check out Serra and Georgia's fab blogs by clicking on their names here.

So I figure I'll show you a snippet of my bag collection and where I got them etc, these babies have held more than I needed to have on more occasion than one! Also apologies for the terrible quality photo's, I've been having to use my iphone to get these shots.

Beauty Reviews: Jojoba company and Neutrogena

Will being ever so busy lately I've kind of gone on a neglect spree on my skincare/beauty routine. Not that there was much of a routine in the first place...
In saying that, my face needed a good scrub and a cleanse. So to start off I used this exfoliator from the Jojoba company.
This was such a great product to use and honestly it really helped. What I really liked about it was how small the little beads were, I'm used to using one with really large bits of like sand or something and it's really harsh on my skin but this was a bit of a refreshing change. I hadn't really had much of a chance to use it before then because I was waiting for the old one to run out...
Next up is the usual cleanse,
I've been using this one for a while now, it's the neutrogena oil free acne wash and I absolutely love how it smells. Never underestimate the power of pink grapefruit! I actually started using it after finishing up on an acne cleanser which was recommended by my pharmacist but I think after a while that one just kind of stopped working. Since I've been using this grapefruit one, my skin has started clearing up a lot more. I'm not sure if that's something that came with age or if it actually works, I'm going to assume it works.
Last up as the jojoba company's hydrating day cream. I did have to wait a little to use this later the same day after my skin started drying up a bit. The smell of it comes off a bit strong at first but after using it a bit I couldn't get enough of it! The 'hydrating' or whatever really did it's job though, my skin was saaaa fresh after.
Hope you have a nice day! xx

Proenza Schouler Pre Fall 2013 Collection

There are a few pieces in Proenza Schouler's pre fall 2013 collection that I absolutely adore. These pieces were done so well that any form of modification to them would be...well stupid. The looks are gorgeous and radiant and I love them with all my materialistic heart.

Then, in the same collection, outshining the brilliant pieces are the ones that I can't stand. They really just don't appeal to me, and I can't see how the same minds that thought up the above pieces could be the same minds that put two and two together and get three. As you can see, I'm obviously not a fan of turtlenecks and nun-wear.
It's all a little bit reminiscent of Freja Beha in her nun outfit from the Little Black Jacket exhibition.

Any thoughts? Hope you're having a tres magnifique day xx

Independant Fashion Bloggers:

Yay so now that all of that boring stuff is out of the way, I've recently discovered this designer called Emanuel Ungaro and I've absolutely fallen in love with his Fall Winter 2010 ready to wear collection. I know it's a little bit old but the way this collection plays with prints and silhouettes is actually brilliant. I've got to add, even though its over 3 years old it's pretty damn on trend right now with the clashing prints and colour blocking. 4 for you Emanual Ungaro, you go Ungaro! (Sorry, not sorry, I couldn't resist throwing a mean girls quote in there.)

The above dress is definitely my favourite in the collection, and it also happens to be the first look in the range. Who doesn't love a bubble dress? And to pair it with a blazer, he's just ticked all the boxes. Not only that, how cute are the shoes? I can't really tell what they are exactly but from what I can see they are reminiscent of a cross between jelly shoes and ballet shoes. Unlike a lot of outfits off the runway, this look actually looks pretty comfortable. Just give me this whole outfit please!

Backstage at Fashion Palette 2013

On Thursday night I was helping out at the Fashion Palette 2013 show. Currently in it's 5th year, Fashion Palette is a yearly fashion showcase filled with both established and also many upcoming talent in the Australian fashion design industry.
I absolutely love being backstage, the adrenaline and the atmosphere is just so amazing. Sure there are people stressing left right and centre, but when the show is over and everything has gone perfectly it's all so worth it.
I had the pleasure of dressing this lovely model, Nicole Hofman. She's Dutch and is so tall I felt like a midget next to her (especially in heels).
Anyway if you would like to see some backstage snaps, read on!

Hussein Chalayan / To this day

Ola! Just a quick post for today, I have a few video's I'd like to share with you.
The first being this amazing collection from Paris Fashion Week by Hussein Chalayan. It's from his fall winter collection and his dresses are magic!!

The second is not fashion related but I think everyone should see it. It's called 'To this day' by Shane Koyczan. I don't think I need to explain, just watch it.
Anyway hope you're having a wonderful day! xx

What's in your bag?

I always have to have on me a massive bag filled with a whole load of stuff which I "might" need at any point in the day, most of which doesn't get used.. or maybe it does, I haven't really though about it. I've tried carrying like a smaller clutch type purse bag for my daily living which fits only my phone and wallet but it's impossible to feel complete without all my little things that I carry around.

I'm going to have a dig through my bag and show you what I've got! Here we go.
